Dali City is a county-level city in Dali, Yunnan province, China. Dali is located on a fertile plateau between Mount Cangshan to the west and Erhai Lake to the east. It has traditionally been settled by the Bai and Yi minorities. It is also the capital of the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture.
Madam White Snake is a Chinese legend/folklore, which existed as oral traditions before any written compilation. It tells of a powerful female white snake demon, Bai Suzhen, and a green snake demon of lesser powers, Xiao Qing, that take on human form and become two beautiful women. They set home in human world and meet the scholar Xu Xian and the white snake fell in love with him and marries him.
Longjing Shrimp is a typical famous dish in Hangzhou. It selects fresh shrimps from local rivers and cooked with Longjing Tea. Longjing Shrimp is famous for being cooked with the best Longjing Tea that are produced in the hills nearby Xihu (West Lake) city. In Qing Dynasty, people used to cook the dishes with other high-quality new tea in Anhui Province, thereafter people in Hangzhou cooked the fresh shrimp with Longjing tea, and gave it a name “Longjing Shrimp”.
